DIY: Fashion is in the details (I)

Hay veces en las que solo se necesita dar un pequeño toque para cambiar por completo un look. Esto lo podemos aplicar a todo, incluidos accesorios como los sombreros: una propuesta que hemos visto muy a menudo han sido los sombreros de plumas como estos de Zara y Stradivarius ¿verdad?

Sometimes we just need a little touch in order to change a whole look. We can use this for everything, even accessories like hats: a very popular proposal in brands we have seen very often are hats with feather like these of Zara and Stradivarius, right?

Bien, pues para renovar nuestro sombrero (dificultad -100) podemos hacernos con un penacho de plumas (ojo, tampoco consiste en desplumar a todos los pájaros que veamos) y ponerlas entre la cinta que incluyen y el propio gorro, como este de pull and bear. ¡Vale todo tipo de colores y todo tipo de plumas!

Well, to update our hat (dificulty: -100) we can use some feathers (be careful, this DIY don´t want all birds plucked!^^) and put them between the ribbon and the own hat, like this of pull and bear. All feather and hats are possible!

Personalmente os recomiendo las plumas de pavo real (obviamente solo la parte de arriba, una es enorme), le da un toque muy exótico:D./ I personally recomend peacock feathers (obviously only the top part, the whole feather is huge), it gives a very exotic touch:D).

Si el último editorial recordaba a la mujer del zar Nicolás II Romanov, Alejandra, Vogue Turquía trae en diciembre de 2010 una referencia a una de sus grandes mujeres, Hürrem, segunda esposa del sultán del imperio otomano, Solimán el Magnífico, allá por el s. XVI.

If the last posted editorial reminded of the tzar Nicolas II Romanov´s wife, Alexandra, Vogue Turkey brings this december 2010 a reference to one of its most popular women in history, Hürrem, the second wife of Suleiman I the Magnificent, sultan of the Ottoman empire in the XIVth century.

Por cierto, si os gusta leer y os fascina el mundo de los harenes, las iqbals y todo el misterio que poseen, os recomiendo dos obras: la saga "La princesa de la luz", de Jean-Michel Thibaux (son dos libros), que nos sitúa en la Turquía de Hürrem, y "De parte de la princesa muerta" (mi favorito) de Kenizé Mourad, que recoge a través de la vida de una nieta del sultán los últimos días del imperio otomano (es biográfica).

By the way, if you enjoy reading and feel fascinated by the harems world and its mistery, I recommend you two books: "La princesse de lumière" (sorry, couldn´t find the title in English) by Jean-Michel Thibaux (two books), which takes place in the Turkey of Hürrem, and "Regards from the Dead Princess" by Kenizé Mourad, who tells us the story of her mother, a sultan´s grandaughter in the last days of the Ottoman empire.

Puede sonar muy poético, pero vestirse bien puede semejarse a pintar sobre un lienzo, el mismo proceso de selección de colores se lleva a cabo en ambas situaciones. Teniendo en cuenta las diferentes gamas, podemos conseguir outfits muy efectivos, y para ello nos podemos inspirar en el arte. En este caso, ejemplos de distintas épocas que muestran cómo convertir el color rojo en el principal protagonista, ¿queréis verlo?

It may sounds quite poetic, but getting dress is very similar to paint on a canvas, the same process of colour choice is used in both situations. Bearing coulours in mind, we can have a wide range of effective outfits, and in order to reach that, we can get inspired by art. In this case, examples of different epoques show us how to turn red into the main character. Wanna see it?

Si por algo se caracterizan los cuadros contemporáneos del pintor lituano Mark Rothko es por la combinación de colores, casi parece un pantone! (inspiración 100%)/ Mark Rothko´s paintings stand out because of the colour combo, almost like a pantone! (100% inspiration).

¿Qué tal si ese rojo lo trasladamos a los complementos, y concretamente, a los bolsos?
